Sep 27, 2026 - Grade 4 (Sunday AM)

Hari Om Parents,

Welcome to our Grade 4 class, a quick recap of what was covered in class today.

We all met in our classroom -- "Madhava" and after everyone sat down, we followed the below format:

Opening Prayers: We all sat straight, criss cross, hands folded, chanted together 3 Oms, then Sahana Vavatu, Ganesha Slokha -Vakra Tunda, Saraswathi Slokha- Saraswathi Namasthubayam, and Guru Slokha - Guru Brahma , Hanuman slokas. Everyone nicely, chanted together and focussed well, and the kids recited a few slokas of their choice too.

Today was a short class session as we had our House Inaugural activities.

Overview of Kamsa and the Earth in Turmoil

The Earth was troubled because many cruel and evil rulers were causing suffering and fear among people.
Mother Earth prayed to Lord Brahma for help, asking him to protect the world from these troubles.
Lord Brahma and the other Devas prayed to Lord Vishnu to restore peace and dharma on Earth.
Lord Vishnu promised that Lord Krishna would destroy evil and protect the good.
Meanwhile, the wicked King Kamsa ruled Mathura and caused great fear among the people.
Everyone waited and prayed for the divine child who would bring hope, peace, and righteousness back to the world.

Lord Krishna was born in Dwapara Yuga to Devaki and Vasudeva in the prison of King Kamsa.
A divine voice had told Kamsa that Devaki’s eighth child would defeat him.

We will continue the story next week.

Then we all went to the prayer hall for the House inaugural activities and Pledge.

What a beautiful and festive assembly today! The Jagannath Rath Yatra made the celebration especially joyful and memorable

Next session: Sunday, 10/4/2026
