Hari Om Parents,
It was very nice to see the smiling faces of your kids as incoming 6th graders to our class.
We started our class with some icebreakers as a way of getting to know the kids followed by them sharing what they’ve learned in 5th grade. It was very impressive for us as teachers to hear how much they remembered the Mahabharata taught in 5th grade. More importantly, why they felt the need to learn the Mahabharata and how they could apply to their daily life.
This year we will be focussed on finishing the remaining sections of the Mahabharata as well as learn about India- our sacred land.
We are excited to spend this Balvihar session with your kids and look forward to a great year.
Few points to note-
- Please join the WhatsApp group if you haven’t already. That’s the best way to communicate with us with respect to absences etc.
- Class presentation is scheduled for May 23, 2027. Please mark your calendars so that your kids get the opportunity to showcase what they’ve learned.
As always please reach out to us if you have any questions. Please email/text Shiv or I directly and we will get back to you as soon as possible.
Thanks
Shiv and Nithya
