Thank you for joining the whatsapp group and communicating with us when your child cant make it. We miss them when they are not here.
Last class, as teachers we did the detailed recap of the Mahabharata from the beginning starting with how it started, who had the vision and who was the scribe. Following that, we introduced the important characters such as Shantanu, Bhishma, Satyavati, Pandu, Dhritarashtra and others and their stories all finally leading to the birth of the Pandavas and Kauravas. Majority of the time was spent, through stories, talking about how jealousy and greed completely clouds the intellect and obstructs the ability of rightful thinking, a prime example being Duryodhana and his brothers. How they were obsessed with killing the Pandavas, who ultimately kept escaping and emerged winners. Finally, we talked about the infamous dice game where due to Yudhishtra's inability to say NO and weakness for the game, resulted in the disgrace and shaming of Pandavas and Draupadi followed by their 13 year exile. The story ended with the completion of exile period and the two factions preparing for war.
In the following sessions, we will be focussed on the stories after this period. We will also be covering India- sacred land, introducing the kids to scriptures, festivals and saints of India, making it a sacred country. Last 10 mins of the class will also be spent learning Chapter 6 of the Bhagwad Gita.

3. This Sunday Sept 27, 2026 is HOUSE INAUGURAL ASSEMBLY, few important points below:
- We will meet in class at 915 AM
- Our class is DURGA's DAREDEVILS- So will be nice if we all (children, parents & teachers) are all dressed in our House COLOR- RED
- There will be a fun activity in the assembly based on Temples of India, that our volunteers have put together for the children to do within a stipulated time. This will be a contest!
- Our class along with KG and 1st graders will be the first to enter the assembly hall around 945 AM, hence would really appreciate it if the kids could be on time for class at 915 AM.
4. Humble and sincere request: We would appreciate parent volunteers to help for this activity. So if you could please join in the assembly hall by 9 am, that would be really appreciated.
