Hari OM! Dear Parents, We had a good first day of Bala Vihar. As discussed in class, our curriculum this year will include the Mahābhārata(till Virāta Parva), and Saints of India. Going forward our class schedule will be as such: * Opening prayers * Likhita Japa * Slokam / Bhajan * Mahābhārata story * Story of a Saint /Sage * Gita Chanting * Value-based discussion * Meditation With a fairly large class, we need to follow certain rules to ensure a smooth BV session. 1. Children need to use the restroom before class and not during class time. 2. All children need to bring their Bala Vihar bag, My Prayers book, Handbook, one notebook for notes and a couple of pencils/pens. We will give them a Likhita Japa book. 3. No distractions (like Pokemon cards, other story books etc) should be brought to class. 4. We require at least one parent to stay in premises during Bala Vihar. There are multiple adult study groups to choose from. We will inform you of events and 5th grade seva activities in the coming weeks.
